Caring for you through COVID19
Our commitment has always been to look after the health and wellbeing of our community in a way that is welcoming, and accepting of all. We recognise that living in a Covid-19 world isn’t easy, and we are doing our best to navigate the challenges that present themselves. Outlined below are the implemented strategies we feel best serve our students and community at this current time.
Respect for all
We want you to know that we respect your right to choose how you move forward with your own health. If you wish to practice in person with us, we kindly ask that you meet the NSW Health guidelines for vaccination and are happy to share this information with us before attending class. We will be ensuring our team also meets vaccination requirements. If you have chosen not to be vaccinated at this time, wish not to disclose your vaccination status for privacy reasons, or feel more comfortable practicing from the comfort of your own home, we respect your decision and as such, will keep offering the livestream option for our classes so that we can continue to practice together as a community.
Book ahead online
Please note that during this time we are unfortunately unable to accept walk-in students and ask that you use our online bookings system to ensure we do not exceed the maximum in-studio attendance of 20 students.
When to wear your mask
We ask that you please wear your face mask when entering the studio and whilst moving around the communal space. Once you’ve made it to your mat, if you feel more comfortable practicing without a mask, then you are welcome to remove it for the duration of the practice. We just ask that once the class has finished or if you are to leave your mat during the class, you please put your mask back on. Our team will also be doing the same.
Check yourself in
Please scan and check-in using the QR codes provided upon arrival. If you are unable to electronically check-in please notify one of our team members who will assist you in logging a manual attendance entry.
Practice good hygiene
Upon entry to the studio, we ask that you please use the hand sanitiser provided. Good hygiene only takes 30 seconds and goes a long way to protect each other!
Finding your mat space
To ensure physical distancing requirements are met, we have placed a tealight at each space for you to align the centre top of your mat with.
How to prop
We highly recommend and strongly encourage bringing your own mat and props for practice. However, we understand that this is not always possible and will therefore continue to have mats, blocks and bolsters available for the small rental fee of $2 which will contribute to the ongoing costs of cleaning equipment. We kindly ask that after use of all rental props, you use the cleaning products provided to wipe down the mat and blocks, and remove the slip cover for the bolster, placing this into the washing basket provided.
Keeping a clean space
To continue our participation in a healthy yoga environment Om will continue to maintain its high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our sacred studio space. The studio floors and frequently touched, hard surfaces will be sanitised between every class, along with increasing natural ventilation.
A final reminder
It goes without saying, if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms, have visited any hotspot locations or been identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 positive person, we kindly ask that you follow the NSW Health regulations, stay at home and join us virtually instead.
We look forward to continuing to serve and connect with you, either in-person or online! We will continue to update these guidelines in accordance with NSW Health recommendations.
