Meditation with Mala

Learn to meditate using Mala beads and a mantra to calm your mind, connect you to Universal Energy and focus your attention.  This practice is powerful for everyone but especially good for people who suffer from anxiety and difficulty relaxing or sleeping.  It is a practice that helps to focus your mind and attention and a very simple and easy meditation tool for everyone.  

The practice of reciting a mantra (Sanskrit phrase) using beads is called Japa and has been done in India for thousands of years. This workshop is part lecture and part practice, you will learn how to sit for meditation with options for different comfortable positions, how to develop a regular meditation practice, some of the theory behind this style of practice and how to do it.  Katie Manitsas has had a regular Japa meditation practice for over 12 years.  

$50 per workshop with Katie or $80 when signing up for both.
